Cracking the code isn’t as difficult as you think but there are a few ninja marketing techniques I will share that will get you one step closer to increasing your visibility, exploding your YouTube views and standing out in a busy marketplace. I even share my super simple branding model.
This is critical as you compete in a noisy platform where viral videos of cute puppies and feisty cats reign supreme. You have to stand out in the marketplace and your videos need to add value or entertainment within the first few seconds. This is all about positioning and branding.
What makes you different and unique? Even Grumpy Cat has differentiated him/herself.
Ask yourself this question and you will be on your way to creating high converting YouTube videos that grow your online business and make you stand out like a boss. Look out cute puppies and Kid President. A Youtube Star is being born!
What’s my personal or business brand?
Sounds simple but the answer to this question is what sets you apart. A lot of people ask me if there’s any point getting on YouTube because it’s just too saturated. Yes, it is saturated. But if you have a clear brand that resonates with people, you will rise above all the noise.
You will notice that every video begins with my branding.
Here’s your assignment: Take a look at my video or a video of an entrepreneur who’s rocking it on YouTube. You’ll see what we have in common. We open every single video with branding and say our branding throughout the video. I think branding is what sets people apart in YouTube land.
See what others are doing and decide what you want to be known for online. It will make the difference in being seen as a hobbyist or as a serious online expert. Differentiation is the name of the game.
Many people seem to be afraid to set themselves apart because when you do that, you have to stop trying to please everyone. The idea of getting a thumbs down or a negative comment is enough to scare some people into retiring their video cameras forever.
As you get clarify on your brand, you’ll notice something interesting that happens. You’ll get some negative comments, but you’ll get many more positive comments from the people that resonate and feel strongly about your brand personality. You want to attract people like this.
What sets you apart? That’s your brand.
