Speaking of building your business, I want to share some money making tips that I use time and time again to leverage my high converting videos to make revenue in my online business. These tips have taken years to learn, but I can say they have made all the difference in going from posting videos in 2011 that got a few views to ones that gets thousands and even millions. If it worked for me, it can work for you. Ready to build a business and not just post hit or miss videos? I thought so.
So, let’s be clear: we are not posting videos because we have nothing better to do with our time. We are here to add value to others and to make a profit doing it, right?
At first, I was making videos to help people learn to speak english. I was just putting videos out as a request to answer a few questions – I was making $0 – Nada – Zero – Nichts.
Zilch- Zip…you get the point.
Giving away great content for free was very important. It is essential. This is how you introduce yourself to the online world and build a relationship with your audience. Do not skip this part! Approach your online presence with a helpful, giving mindset and in the near future you’ll be glad you did.
Then I realized people were gathering around, asking for more, subscribing to my channel, requesting my services — from all over the globe. Here’s the deal, If you add value and people come around for more. People starting saying, “if your free stuff is this good, what is your paid stuff like?” Well, I didn’t have any paid stuff…yet. But I focused on adding value, listening to what people wanted. I kept listening, responding, listening and responding. My viewers turned into subscribers, who then turned into community members and into customers. Ready to turn viewers into customers? Start by assessing if you are building a community.
Am I building community?
Watching YouTube videos has become a favorite hobby. To some it seems like a lot of time wasting but it’s actually a powerful place to build a tribe, a community of raving fans. I have built a community of over 200,000 people from all over the globe who all have an interest in language learning on my first YouTube channel. I’ve met some of these people personally. I have spoken to them online, answering their questions, helping them meet their language learning goals. I have partnered with some of them as business affiliates. Others have purchased my products and helped me make a full time living making educational videos and online courses. Convinced yet? YouTube is an entrepreneur’s playground. Build a community here and you can build a profitable business with the right strategies.
This is enough for today. Go out there and call people to join your channel. Treat those people like they are friends, future clients, business partners, contributors to your growth, both personally and professionally. Because they are your partners in community.
