Congratulations! If you have been implementing some of my strategies, you are well on your way to building a following online. You may actually get a few comments, some good and some you probably want to permanently delete. These are the aches and pains of raising your hand as an online leader and having a tribe form around your mission and message. You are building a community.
But when does that community turn into paying customers? I’m glad you asked. Quite frankly , it’s hard to estimate how fast that can happen. I would need to personally get my hands and eyes on your entire business strategy to see how you are employing video marketing tools. But I can tell you that creating buy in and monetizing your YouTube channel is a living reality for many of us and can be for you. If you are intentional about putting all the pieces in place and taking consistent action, your YouTube audience will transition from viewers to subscribers to faithful members of a tribe and ultimately to into a paying (and hopefully repeat) customers. It is a process but like all parts of the business building strategies online, there are ways to move people through your funnel with grace and ease. Today, I’ll share a couple techniques that online video marketers use every day to transition a viewer to a community member to a paying customer.
Ask yourself before your create your video: How will I create opportunities for buy in?
Marketing and Community Building are the building blocks of monetizing your Youtube channel.
Does your tribe have an easy way to find out who you are and what you offer, both for free and a fee?
For those who have more questions for you, do you have a way to help them?
Have you paid attention to comments and your most popular videos so you can identify and create content that people will pay for?
A high number of views on a particular video may be a sign that your community is interested in that topic. Why not offer a course, coaching, a live webinar to respond to the interest?
Have you posted your website and services in the video, in the comments or as a blurb during one of your high viewership videos?
There are tons of ways to let people know that you are open for business and these are just a few. Take a couple of these ideas and put them in practice. Over time, you will monetize your video marketing. That’s a day worth working towards.
